I had a similar problem and had to reformat the SD card. You have to download " SDFormatter"

I had to remove the SD card from the HP and use a SD card reader. I have a reader that plugs into the USB port on my pc. Some pc may have one built in.

With the HP-1 plugged in (or using a reader), in Sentinel select HomePatrol-->Clear User Data then select "Display All Drives." The SD card will show up. Select it and click OK. Sentinel will write the content to the SD card necessary for it to look like a HomePatrol, again.
