I've downloaded the new extreme upgrade, and everything seems
like it's working. I see we have CUSTOM-1 to CUSTOM-8 on the
services. I was wondering if we can program frequency groups
into it. I want to program in CB and FRS and maybe MURS services.
How would this be done successfully...and would the "Custom" label
be replaced by a name you select, such as "CB" or "FRS"?
It's probably something obvious I missed, but assist, please?

I went to Sentinel, and tried to figure out how to program
in a list of frequencies, but I guess I don't know what
the heck I'm doing. Is the area I need to address?
How to I program them in and can this be loaded into
my HP to make a new "service list"? Is the service
list name then changed Custom to whatever the service is?
Someone please help me on this one...I'm frustrated.

All right, what gives? I checked the service types
on the HP, and the Racing Officials, Racing channels,
and the Custom 1 to 8 services are "grayed out".
What does this mean? I downloaded all the update,
and the extreme features work. What's happening?

Duke, You should watch the video that Upman did on the features of Sentinel and learn how to import HPE files. There are files at Radio reference Wiki upload page such as the CB and the FRS you want that are ready to import into your own favorite list. Probably save you a lot of work.

You can't change the custom service tags.

To program your own systems in Sentinel, start by clicking the "star with pencil" icon.

Might also want to watch the YouTube video on the subject, as Duke suggests.

If the tags are greyed out in the Service Type selection screen, that means that none of the channels in your selection area (including enabled Favorites Lists) are tagged with those service types.

I'm not real thrilled with the YouTube concept of documentation! I really don't want to watch a 15 minute video to find one little thing that could be in a help file.

However, if you are going to continue the videos, PLEASE put a list of the all the videos somewhere easy to find, with a paragraph synopsis of what is covered (more descriptive than "video of new features"), and if you reference one in a reply, please make it clickable!

Love the unit, have the GPS working, favorites lists built, etc.

thanks.
