Yesterday my HP was working fine, today, I turn it on and it cycles through, but it never stops on anything. I have not changed anything since yesterday either...

Where are you? Where have you told the HP-1 it is and how?

Without these pieces of info, nobody can help you.

I am in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan. I have told the HP it is in the 48341 zip code through direct entry.

Most of the Michigan Public Safety P-25 trunked system is encrypted (at least the police part of it) so it's going to be relatively quiet, but not silent. A site in Caro was recently updated. Have you kept your HP-1 up to date with weekly frequency updates, remembering of course to "Write to HomePatrol" after updating Sentinel's database?

Have you tried another or an external antenna? The stock antenna has been known to fail occasionally? Does it pick up your local weather station?

Sometimes a hard-reset will fix odd problems like this. With the external power connected and the unit turned on, remove the battery and momentarily press the reset button.
