OK,...I'm stumped. I decided to take my HP-1 out of the closet and start using it again. Since I purchased it, I've gotten a new computer, so I have to re-load Sentinel. I hooked up the USB cable and went through all the motions and I keep getting an error saying "my network settings won't allow me to install this software." I also downloaded the latest version direct from the website and I'm getting the same issue.
My laptop is personal and not part of a network. Am I missing something?
For details: I have a Dell Inspiron, running Win 7. I also have Macafee running in the background.
The HP works just fine, BTW, I just can't do any firmware upgrades without Sentinel.
It just may let you install/upgrade because it is blocking sites and programs it's not sure about. You will have to give it permission.
That's just my thoughts because win 7 wont really block on it's own.
I'm getting that part. How does one get MacAfee to allow me to install this? I've gone through EVERY possible option where I'm an admin to give this permission and nothing's there where I can identify allowing me to into Sentinel.
