I cannot update the FIRMWARE or DATABASE on my HomePatrol 2.
I get the error message UNABLE TO CONNECT TO REMOTE SERVER.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is generally due to a firewall setting or restriction by your internet service provider. Hughesnet is notorious for blocking all ftp access (and the update services use ftp).

I cannot update the Firmware OR the Datebase on my HomePatrol 2.
When I try to do so i get an error message UNABLE TO CONNECT TO REMOTE SERVER.
I use Windows 10 - Windows Firewall/ Windows Defender.
I use Comcast High Speed Internet as my Internet Service Provider.
Any help would be appreciated.

The other thing to check would be to make sure you are using the latest version of Sentinel (info.uniden.com/HomePatrol/HomePatrolSentinel)

I haven't been able to update the Home patrol 1 or 2 database this week, my 536 updated alright.

I have the HomePatrol 2 handheld model and for me not being able to update my radio has been an ongoing issue for months now, the only other thing that I can think of that would possibly cause the problem is that maybe the original SD card that was in the radio when I purchased it was either defective or full. I just received a new larger SDcard in the mail the other day though. When I have time I will try to update again and see if the new larger SD card solved the problem.
