I used a damp microfiber cloth to clean the screen on my hp 1 and apperently water seeped between the outer screen and the LCD, and now the touch doesnt work, is this going to be an expensive repair or will it eventually dry out and work, I tried a hair dryer and it seems to be discoloring under the screen, I would of figured for 500 dollars they would water proofed the screen so you could clean it. has this happend to any body?

I have heard that maybe if you pack the wet electronics in rice (uncooked of course) it may help in the drying process, I have cleaned the screen a number of times but never had a problem. Good luck hope it works in the end.

If it does not come back to life, repair is a flat rate charge. See www.uniden.com/page/productrepair
