Will firmware and database updates be free for the Bc436/536 models? Also, do these two new scanners receive conventional systems?

Database updates are always free. Bug fixes in firmware are always free. It is possible that we could implement features in an update that require additional licensing/payment, but we have not announced any such update.

All trunked scanners also can scan conventional.
