Connect to the PC and run Sentinel.

In Sentinel: HomePatrol --> Clear User Data

Select Show All Drives

Select the drive that is your HomePatrol and select OK.

Best to use this program to format SD cards:

www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

After a card format, Sentinel cannot recognize the card, and it won't be able to read from it, or write to it.

From the top tool bar in Sentinel, click "Home Patrol", then "clear user data" and select "display all drives, highlight the drive and then click "ok".... after that finishes, then use Sentinel to "Write to Home Patrol" to restore your data.

If you still get errors on that card, replace the card with a new one and then repeat the steps above.

I've had to reload my HP1 several times. I found an error message, particularly in the mobile unit, come up that says "Card Error". I've had to disassemble the unit, remove batteries, remove the SD card for 1 minute, and reseat. Then, reassemble radio and turn on. Vibration in the card apparently shakes card loose, I guess. Up Man. What if you are unable to get to this fix ? Can't clear anything as Sentinel DOES NOT SEE myHP-1 at all. even with show all disks checked am unable to refresh or get any info. Arrrrggghh Scanner is one day old but has never communicated with Sentinel. Is there a place to load the original files and format onto this card again ? Not sure this would help but where I am at presently sure is not fun . Thanks.

Hi Duke. I have tried this at least 30-40 times. Not a loose card in my opinion. Even tried this on another computer... Same result. Guess I will have to call UNIDEN TECH.. BIG SIGH. Only one day old but never able to connect with the Sentinel software .
Thanks for your help. much appreciated.
