I've owned my HP for a while now and I keep running across a problem. I will hear something and I will "hold" (lights up yellow) that freq. Then when the transmitting stops the HP will step to the next freq. and hold there (still lit up yellow). This will happen frequently on all levels of the freq. display. Any help? Thanks.

I haven't seen this on mine. You are holding 1 frequency and not the entire agency, correct?

Edit: Never mind. I see you did try holding just the frequency.

I can hold on service, department or channel and occasionally when the transmitting stops, which ever line I hold on, it will step to the next choice in that line. Admin folks, any comment?

Is this with a trunked system or a conventional frequency? I haven't personally experienced this but it seems to me it would make a difference as to whether you are holding ona "frequency" or a talkgroup?

It does not matter if it's a trunked system or a conventional. I can hold any of the three levels and it will skip to the next listing in that level. This does not happen all the time but it is frequent.
