Hello! I'm new to the community. I just acquired a HP2 for travel and am waiting on the delivery of a 536HP in a few days to succeed my 996T. (Which, by the way, I will be selling...) I intended the HP2 to be the scanner I carry with me on the road and found a carrying case which fits it perfectly (for me). Specifically, it is the LowePro Digital Video Case 30 - Black. The scanner and its antenna will fit within the case, there are pockets inside for two SD cards sewn in, and the fit is snug which I think will afford me better protection than a larger case which would allow the radio to get banged around. It's only $9.99 at Best Buy as of the date of this post.
I went to one of the thrift stores, and bought a camera case that had a velcro top seal and carry my HP1 back and forth in it.
Just take the dimensions of the radio along, and check the pile of such cases. That's what I did. Cost me 50 cents!!
