2 week old HomePatrol - 1 using the Monitor Weather Feature.

This morning we could hear, with attendant static, the NOAA station for Bay City, Tx, WWG40 @ 162.425 MHz. Now, I can't hear a thing from it.
Actually, given our location, and based on the NOAA maps, it seems that we should be receiving the Galveston as it appears that we are much further inside the mapped broadcast radius for KHB40, 162.550 MHz, yet I have as yet to ever hear anything from this station.

I have also noticed that if turn the HP-1 off, it reverts back to weather channel 1, 162.550 MHz.

If I go to Weather Alert, I get a message that says Signal Lost. Then it has an option to cancel or search for new (which appears to just roll through the 10 NOAA channels).

The NOAA websites all say that the two channels above are operating normally.

Well, heck, I decided to take the scanner outside and started to get WWG40 again. Still poor reception. It must be one of those classic antenna / atmospheric conditions etc. kinda things. Still lost about Galveston.
