Live about 7 miles out of town. Receiving broadcasts from Seneca county Sheriff, Cary Police… …can’t seem to receive Marcs traffic for Hancock county Sheriff or Ohio State Patrol. I know City of Findlay Police is encrypted on Marcs, but the others are not. I have firmware version 2.04. Any ideas? Also, the antenna strength indicator only lights up for American Electric Power. Not seeing any signal strength on the others…

Confirm you have the latest database in your Home Patrol:

From the main screen on the Home Patrol, select MENU --> ADVANCED MENU --> scroll down arrow --> VERSION INFORMATION

What does it say there for the date of the database?

Make sure "ATTEN" is OFF.

My data base line shows 12/12/2011... ..my ATTEN is off...

Just bought this 10 days ago. Would think it would have the latest on it, but who knows...

That's the issue - MARCS has completely rebanded.

You really need to update IMHO at least once a month.

Newest will be last Monday's date - new one comes out each Monday - unless there are problems.

I have 2 - bought the latest one last Fall - had that same DB,I think that must be loaded on all of them:)

I just went through and applied the update again. Was different that what was displayed on the website.

Thanks for the help... ...now listening to see if I can pick up anything. Heard broadcast from OSP district 2 in Bucryus but not yet our of Findlay. Have now heard the Hancock Count Sheriff yet.
