Hey, gang, I've been out here with the HP for 9-10 mo. now.
I got the Extreme Upgrade, a fancy "boat-type" RAM mount
in the car (but I don't leave my HP in the car all the time...
don't want it to disappear!) I use it most of the time in
my house on the end-table by my recliner. I have a home-brew
3 band dipole mounted in a PCV "T" mount. Works good.

NOW LET'S HEAR FROM OTHERS IN WISCONSIN, uh?

DUKE, WB9OJD
Neenah, WI.

Congratulations, Mike. I too have the HP, now for about 2 years. I got the Advanced update when it came out too!
I would swear I've talked to you on the Ozaukee repeater in the past. I'm WB9OJD, formerly the State Freq.
Coord for WAR from 1978=1984. Good luck with the HP.

Duke,

Looks like I am going to Minocqua for training for work in August, would like to get my GPS set up before this trip. Is it easier to buy the setup from Uniden or put it all together using the Garmin cable and puck? So far I am really enjoying the radio just need to get a good antenna for using in the house as stock one is horrible. We probably have talked at least once, I was a member of OZARES for a time but had to give up as I took most time up now with Firefighter/EMT stuff and my normal job as a dispatcher.
