Anyone have any info on future firmware up-dates.
There have been many a minor bugs reported since the scanner first came out that have not been addressed.
My biggest is the color used in the signal strength meter, and I am sure there are many others.
January 2013 was the last up-date put out by Uniden.

For the newer HomePatrol users, this is a very different scanner, has many good capabilities, especially for those who never owned a scanner and have no clue about frequency programming. Just tell it where you are and what you want to hear, sit back and listen.

Well I guess since there are newer scanners coming out we are all orphans and stuck with what we have.

What exactly are these "bugs", I have searched through the forum and I don't see a list of unaddressed bugs. If your biggest complaint is you don't like the 'color of the strength' display that seems minor to me, it's the same color as most of my devices, such as my cellphone, so what's the big deal?

t is the color used in the signal strength meter, t is the color used in the signal strength meter,

Wow - I never look at it :) Rather meaningless anyway.

While we've not announced any updates, new models coming out does not necessarily mean no more updates for older products. We issued updates for BC796D and BC296D about 5 years after production stopped on those models (added support for rebanded systems).
