I undertand. Don't you have to adjust the mileage radius to 0 or disconnect favorites or use the whole database?
If it is as easy as just plugging the puck in and the scanner does it (automatically) all that's great. There must be a way to discriminate what type of calls you want to hear via GPS.
Range will automatically set to 0 when the scanner starts to receive GPS data.
So, there is nothing you have to do other than plug it in. You can, optionally (not a "have to") set different service types, selecting something other than the main database (or select the main database if you don't normally use it), etc. For any Favorites List you use under GPS control, you must set it to Use Location.
